About Us

Where we meet

Fairfax Lodge is one of approximately 170 Masonic Lodges in the Province of
Yorkshire West Riding. We meet at Guiseley Masonic Hall, Cavendish Road,
Guiseley, LS20 8DW
.

We have a dedicated car park on the opposite corner to the lodge rooms. Our unique and distinctive Masonic Hall is treasured by our members
and admired by visitors.

Our Meetings
We meet for informal practices at 7:30 pm on Monday evenings. On the first Monday of each month we meet at 6:30 pm for a formal Regular Lodge. After which there is a meal with toasts at which dinner suits are the required dress code.

Beer, wine and soft drinks are available on these occasions. There are breaks when no meetings are held from the second Monday in July, recommencing the first Monday in September. Then also the second Monday in December, recommencing the first Monday in January.

Our Social Life
After our weekly practice meetings, there is always the opportunity for drinks and friendly chat. There are various social events during the year to which our ladies are invited. These include a Christmas party in the lodge rooms in early December and various other social events.

Friendship
Like all Masons, we believe that an important part of being a Mason is to visit other lodges. Witnessing other ceremonies, which often differ across the country is a key part of Freemasonry that we wholeheartedly promote.

We welcome Masons from other lodges, including those in the UK and from overseas which must be recognised by the United Grand Lodge of England.

Masons wishing to visit Fairfax Lodge should contact the Lodge Secretary at mel.harmer@8westgate.co.uk who will make the necessary arrangements.
